Transnational Migration Community of Practice

The Transnational Migration Community of Practice (CoP) is a new learning space for funders to engage with migrant power-building and organizing efforts that extend beyond international borders.

Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR) launched the new learning space in early 2024 to build on its emerging work focused on addressing the international forces that drive migrant displacement, exploitation, and oppression.

Among other things, this CoP will be a place for funders from the United States and around the globe to share knowledge and identify opportunities to collectively resource transnational work.

2024 is the pilot phase, which includes a series of virtual events and a possible in-person meetup.
